Lollipop is not just coffee. It has two origins held in exact balance: the volcanic hillsides of Nyamasheke, Rwanda, where Red Bourbon has grown in mineral-rich soil for generations, and the ancient highland forests of Ethiopia, coffee’s original home, where altitude and shade shape a completely different kind of cherry. Two landscapes with nothing else in common, brought together in one blend.
What makes this release particularly distinctive is that it doesn’t pick a side. Rwanda and Ethiopia are blended in exactly equal measure, each shaping the final cup as much as the other. Past releases leaned into a tangy, Sunkist-like brightness; this one trades that acidity for more sweetness and body.
Best pulled as an espresso, the complexity carries all the way through the cup. A gentle fig jam sweetness runs from the first sip to the last, layered with subtle jasmine florals and a smooth, silky body. Every stage is built on the same principle: let the two origins meet in the middle, and do not get in their way.
